Top 5 FREE Educational Preschool APPs for 2021
0:00 I am a firm believer that preschoolers do NOT need educational apps in order to benefit from the iPad and learn. But, I do have a few favorites that just so happen to be educational. This video breaks them down by Pros and Cons and I rate them out of 5 stars.
So heres my top 5 list of FREE educational apps for preschoolers!
0:13 1. Khan Academy Kids
This entire app is FREE and there are NO in app purchases. This organization has developed curriculum as well, so this app is actually MADE by professionals!

0:47 2. Word Wagon by Duck Duck Moose
I have been a HUGE fan of the Duck Duck Moose apps for over 10 years! I have extensively used their apps for my speech therapy sessions and now with my own children. It is now linked to Kahn Academy. Because Duck Duck Moose has become a part of the Khan Academy family, all of their apps have now become FREE as well!! Not just Word Wagon!

1:19 3. PBS Kids Games
This app has ever changing content from all of the PBS kids shows! So all of the characters! It can sometimes be glitchy, but I still love this app. It works well with guided access, since children won't easily get bored from all of the options.

1:55 4. iWriteWords Lite Version
While we do own this game, we had the Lite version for years first! For a Lite version, it has quite a bit of value.

2:25 5. Endless Numbers by Originator
I am a huge fan of the Originator Apps. I did purchase several for my kids. I find that all of the Lite versions of the Endless Apps (Endless Numbers, Endless Learning, Endless Reader, etc.) have robust and fun content for FREE! Endless Numbers Free (numbers 1-5) does NOT disappoint. It has SO much content for FREE!

About:
Hi I'm Jenna G. Mamidi, M.S., CCC-SLP. I'm an autistic Speech Language Pathologist and feeding therapist. I'm also the mom of two autistic toddlers, and raising two Hinjew children (Hindu and Jewish).
Long before I had kids and graduated from college, I spent my days teaching young children about the world around them and helping them become better communicators and eaters!
Mango League is here in many forms, to help fill in a growing need for neurodiversity affirming education and practices. The neurodiversity movement grows more and more every year! Growing research supports the idea of different neurologies; the idea that being born with a differently wired brain does not mean disordered.
